How can I secure my account?
We recommend enabling 2FA with a security key and a long password. Do not use your Railto password on any other account. Enable 2FA on the email address used with Railto, if possible.
How do I create a good password?
Use a password manager, such as 1Password, LastPass or Dashlane, to create and store passwords. Alternatively, create a Diceware password that is six or more words in length. A guide to using Diceware, available by clicking here, is a great place to start.
What is 2FA and how do I use it?
Second-factor authentication, also known as two-factor authentication or 2FA, is a method requiring a code or physical device in addition to your password. This helps prevent unauthorized access to your account. Our recommendation is a physical device such as a Yubikey. We also support TOTP (Time-based One-Time Password) via Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Duo Mobile.
To enable it, log in to your Railto account and visit the Security page. Click Enable on your chosen 2FA method and follow the instructions. We recommend printing or writing down your recovery codes and storing them in a cool, dry place. Do not store the recovery codes on your phone or computer. After 2FA is enabled, you will be asked to enter a six-digit code or insert your security key whenever you login or withdraw cryptocurrency.
